Details

Toyota Gear Driven Transfer Cases were originally designed for at the most (22RTE Turbo) 101 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque. With the demands of 4.0L FJ, 4Runners and Tacomas pushing 254 hp and 270 lb-ft of Torque, (2UZFE 4.7L V8 at 311 lb-ft) there is greater chances of breakages to the Toyota Gear Driven Components.  To get the gear driven Toyota Transfer Case up to the ability to handle serious power- you are in the price range of running something much better...Read on...

While many put down Toyota's Chain Driven Transfer Case found behind the Tacoma, 4Runner and FJ Cruiser- it really is a strong unit. It has a 30 Spline output to handle the extra torque.  We have yet to see a chain failure in these cases- and for most people the Inchworm Crawler Box in front of the factory chain driven case works tremendously well. We have seen people use 40" Tires with 4.7:1 Low Range Ratio in the Crawl Box and it has held up. We have even found this setup to be even stronger than a Gear Driven Lefty or Left Hand Drop Gear Driven Transfer Case.

However, if you want the ultimate in strength and versatility, we have teamed up with our friends at Advanced Adapters to provide you with the ultimate setup.  What is this? An Atlas Transfer Case. With over 15,000 units sold, the Atlas transfer case is the best in combining both on and off-road performance.  Atlas's can be configured for your Toyota Tacoma , 4Runner or FJ Cruiser or 4.7L Tundra that will put a shame to the Toyota RF1A Gear Driven Transfer Case and the VF1A Chain Driven Transfer Case. Why?

-Atlas Transfer Cases are built using a thicker casting than Toyota Chain or Gear Driven Transfer Cases.

-Atlas Transfer Cases have a rear disconnect built right into the case- no need to add one on. Front Digs!

-Gearing Options run from 1.5-5.0:1 Low Range Gear Ratio. (Custom Order)

-Much more strength than the Toyota Gear Driven and Chain Driven Transfer Cases.

-Can be used with Stock Front IFS Differential or Dana 60, Dana 44, Trail9, ProRock, Currie, Ruffstuff, and Spidertrax Left Hand Drop Solid Axles.
