The new Clockable Double Case Adapter is the first in a new line of adapters from Inchworm Gear.  If you want the best, you have found it. Inchworm Gears products have been known by their quality, strength, and reliability for years. 

This adapter is like no other adapter on the market. Made with 6061-T6 billet aluminum, this adapter is much stronger than a cast aluminum adapter. We used the best internal parts money can buy.

Available in 21 or 23 Spline, this adapter is clockable in 5 degree increments to suite your trucks specific needs. It uses a stud type fastener for ease of installation.

With rock crawling in mind, the adapter also has a seal between the cases to prevent oil from running into one case or the other on steep inclines and descents. The seal also helps force fluid through the Double Row Bearing in its center.

Features:

Clockable Design- Can be rotated in 5 degree increments.  Makes for easy way to flat belly. 

Full Circle Bearing Retention- Rather than rely upon bolt heads to keep the bearing in place, we designed a thick CNC Laser Cut and Machined aluminum plate that retains the center heavy duty dual row bearing.

HD Dual Row Bearing- HD Dual Row Bearing for maximum load and coupler rigidity. No chinese made bearings or weak stock sized bearings here!  Dual Row bearings have been known to give the coupler the ultimate support for less coupler wear and no more stripped splines.

Upgraded HD Countershaft Bearing- Larger than stock counter gear needle bearing for ultimate counter shaft support.

Grade 8 and Higher Metric Hardware- We use grade 8 and higher JIS Metric hardware.  No weird size bolt heads, they are sized just like Toyota would do from the factory. We also include 2 magnetic drain plugs!

CNC Machined in USA- No low price castings here.  This adapter kit is machined in the USA with Billet 6061-T6 Aluminum.

Suggestions:

If building Ultimate Dual Transfer Case with 4.7:1 gears in the rearmost transfer case, upgrade to 23 spline gears for the greatest strength.

If you are not changing to 23 Spline 4.7:1 Gears in the rearmost case, we recommend at least changing to a 23 spline 2.28 input gear. 

 

 Modification to Shifter Shaft:

In order to make the case clockable our doubler requires the use of a modified shift rail.  Instructions to do this modification are taken from our Tacoma Dual Case Adapter Instructions Steps 16-20.
