Suzuki Samurai Knuckle King Pin Shims
Knuckle too tight? You may need some shims to correctly adjust your front king pin bearings for proper pre-load torque.
Simple, add shims for less pre-load- take them out for more. Not so easy if you don't have the right shims.
When checking knuckle arm starting torque, be sure to have axle hub oil seal removed and tighten king pin bolts to specified torque.
Knuckle King Pin Bolts Torque (20-30 Nm, 2.0-3.0 kg-m, 14.5-21.5 lb-ft)
Knuckle arm starting torque spec. O - 1.8 kg (2.20 - 3.96 lb) torque (force) without oil seal
Available sizes of 0.1, 0.5 mm shim for kingpins (0.004,0.02 in.)
