We have sold a couple of these to customers as spares to keep on the trail. If your Spartan is a few years old and doesn't engage the same as it did when new, then this may be your ticket to a revitalized locker! These can wear over time, and the pins can actually shear even though this is rare.

If you have a 2001 and Older Toyota Pickup then most likely your pinion flange is going to be 27 Spline. The easiest way to verify this is to count the splines on the pinion gear. If you want to run the Nitro Gear 29 Spline Ring and Pinions, you will need a new 29 Spline Pinion Gear, Seal and Nut. This is the required kit needed to make the conversion easy. Learn More
If you are in the rare case of having an Air Locker Line that is leaking or has a kink in it, you may want to either replace the line or have one of these available just in case. These are great for trail repairs.

For ease of install and people who are on a budget, the Spartan Lockers are a great choice. Of course, selectable lockers such as ARB air lockers would be much more desirable, the Spartan lockers get the job done for a fraction of the cost.
