Details
The Inchworm Tacoma Transmission Adapter allows a gear driven transfer case to be bolted up to a Tacoma, 4runner, FJ Cruiser, or Tundra transmission. Not only can this adapter be used for double cases, it can also be used to fit earlier (pre-'95) pickups and 4Runners with Tacoma engine/tranny combos, or even to fit a Toyota gear driven transfer case into a Tacoma for a passenger side drop front driveshaft. The Tacoma Transmission Adapter is clockable and can be assembled to yield rotations of -10, (which is +10 for passenger side drop applications), 0, 5, or 15 degrees.
This adapter is available for either automatic or manual (including 6 speed 22 Spline) transmissions in both 4 cylinder (26 Spline through 2004, 23 Spline from 2005 to present) and V6 (23 Spline) applications. We recommend using 23 spline transfer case input shafts for their durability though both 21 and 23 spline shafts are supported. Contact us with any questions.

New for 2009 is our updated sealing system between the transmission and the transfer case. Using our seal extension the entire coupler is contained within the tail housing of the transmission. An oil seal is then fitted into the seal extension and seated tightly around the transfer case input shaft giving a better seal than ever before. Click to see an image.
