This compact unit simply replaces the rear drive shaft flange of the Samurai transfer case. It is a great alternative for the Samurai owner who can take advantage of the benefits of all of the various new transfer case gearing options and have the ability to "burn-turn" or do front wheel digs......just like the guys with the Atlas cases! This rear drive disconnect made by Trail Tough works not only for the serious wheeler's burn-turning needs, but also works excellent for disconnecting the drive shaft for guys who just want to flat tow. Comes with all needed hardware and shifter handle.
Cutting a hole in your tunnel for shifter is necessary.
The new transfer case flange will be 1” longer that the stock flange. If the vehicle has already been lifted and is running a driveshaft spacer, just remove the spacer. If the vehicle is running a stock rear drive shaft with no spacer, the driveshaft must be shortened 1”.
