Low Range Off Road is trying really hard to get you the tools you need to do things on your own.  We looked long and hard for an inexpensive tap for the Toyota FJ80 Tie Rod End... problem is, no one makes it. You can find 22MM taps easily, but 23 is oddball. These are custom manufactured just for us..  We order in large quantities so that we can pass the savings on to you.  These when made one at a time can be around $98.00 each, but since we order in large quantities the price can nearly be cut in half. The quality is evident,  these are made in the USA. One thing that is really nice is that they are a taper style so that they can easily be started in the material, this is something really wanted when tapping by hand.

We have found that the right drill size for these is a 27/32". It provides the most thread depth without compromising tap usability after each cut.  We recommend using a little TAP Magic brand or tapping lubricant when tapping any material.
